The SVS PSO and Inter-Society Relations Specialist provides administrative support for both the SVS Patient Safety Organization (SVS PSO) (75%) and the Inter-Society Relations Department (25%).
For the PSO, this position is responsible for providing logistical, data and clerical support. The Specialist will help coordinate the semi-monthly abstract submissions to the SVS PSO’s Research Advisory Council and will be responsible for coordinating all committee and council meetings for the SVS PSO.
In addition, the Specialist provides customer service, meetings and clerical support for the Inter-Society Relations Department. The department provides management services to the Association of Program Directors in Vascular Surgery (APDVS), Delaware Valley Vascular Society (DVVS) and Society for Vascular Nurses (SVN). This position will also provide meeting logistical support, including registration and onsite assistance.
What you bring to the job (Requirements)
Undergraduate Degree in Healthcare, Business Management or Marketing preferred.
Two - Four Years of experience in an administrative support role.
A high degree of proficiency with Microsoft Excel to organize and sort data (formulas, pivot tables & vLookup not required)
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, while still attending to detailed work
Highly motivated, results-oriented, and able to prioritize efforts to use limited resources efficiently
Demonstrated skills to apply effective oral, electronic, and written communication methods with colleagues and volunteers
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel required; ability to learn new technology as required

Coordination of the call for submission of Abstracts.
Compiling Abstracts to be reviewed by the Research Advisory Council
Monitor status of Abstract review process
Maintain a listing of accepted/rejected Abstracts
Communications with Abstract Authors on status of proposals
Coordinate meeting times for SVS PSO Committees and Councils
Maintain Committee and Council Rosters
Assist with coordination of communications to SVS PSO members
Assist with SVS PSO invoicing
General administrate tasks for the SVS PSO
What you own for the Inter-Society Relations Department (Additional responsibilities)
Coordinate abstract submission process for the APDVS, DVVS, and SVN Annual Meetings
Assist in the administration of CME/CEU applications
Coordinate registration for APDVS and DVVS
Assist in the implantation of programs (name badges, certificates, rosters, shipping of materials, evaluations and follow-ups)
Responding to phone and email inquiries
Coordinate membership for all three groups, including mailings and customer service support
General administrate tasks and support for the Inter-Society Relations Manager
This position will support the activities of the SV PSO Research Advisory Council
This position may serve as liaison to APDVS Committees when needed
