The National Recreation and Park Association seeking to hire a Director of Professional Development. NRPA is a national, nonprofit with a mission to “advance parks, recreation, and environmental conservation efforts that enhance the quality of life for all people.” NRPA has an extensive nationwide reach that represents a network of over 60,000 park and recreation professionals. This position directs the organization’s professional development offerings and programming including those delivered through conferences, e-learning, certificate programs, curriculum development, and accreditation of baccalaureate programs and park and recreation agencies. In this position, you will: - Develop education program content that is consistent with the mission, strategic goals and tactics of NRPA. Investigate and develop various content delivery models and mechanisms and topical areas that are responsive to the needs of the membership and that meet the programmatic and fiscal goals of the Association, including programmatic growth. Identify new education topic offerings and innovative delivery methods that meet the evolving needs of the profession. Provide overall management and support for the production and implementation of all education programs.
- Direct accreditation certificate programs in accordance with education best practice guidelines and best practices relative to approval, testing, maintenance, and standards setting. Oversee strategic programmatic growth. Manage outside consultants and providers. Ensure compliance with external regulators.
