Who we are looking for:
The American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Chapter Relations Program Manager. This person will help grow ASCO’s State/Regional Affiliate programs and services.
What you will do:
Maintain ongoing communications with ASCO's State/Regional Affiliates to understand under-met and unmet customer needs, set precedents, analyze problems, and provide solutions
Plan ASCO Annual Meeting-related events and activities for ASCO’s State/Regional Affiliates, including marketing the Affiliate Booth to exhibitors, maximizing the exhibitor experience, planning the Affiliates’ Reception, and working with Publications staff on articles that promote the work of the State Affiliates during the ASCO Annual Meeting
Oversee the annual State Affiliate Leadership Conference, including developing the meeting agenda, selecting presenters, and collaborating with the program coordinator on logistical planning
Serve as myAffiliates community manager, staying up-to-date on best practices and providing quarterly engagement reports to Council leadership
Identify topics, draft content, and distribute weekly e-newsletter and manage internal and external promotion of the Affiliates’ work through a variety of ASCO publications
Collaborate with government relations staff to organize outreach efforts to State Affiliates
What you will need in order to be successful:
5+ years of experience with chapter relations with a non-profit
Superior interpersonal and communication skills; including oral, written and listening
Ability to multi-task and manage own time, priorities, and resources to achieve goals
Commitment to work within a team to meet timelines and deliverables with a strong focus on customer service
