The Senior Accountant will act as the primary financial support for the organization and assist the CEO with a variety of priorities and functions.
Position Summary: Helps to ensure the financial effectiveness of the organization by supporting all aspects of financial operations, records, budget process, and controls. Analyzes financial systems and procedures for maximum effectiveness. Responsible for timely monthly reporting and adherence to closing schedule.
Manages finance, accounting, and office administrative operations.
Partner with the CEO to meet requirements of policies and management limitations within the Board Governing Policies.
Liaises with the Audit Committee and Investment Oversight Committee as directed, ensuring they are supported and committee charges are met.
Supports staff budget preparation.
Responsible for keeping the association up-to-date in relation to new regulations and legislation affecting financial and human resource functions.
Coordinates payroll processing; Oversees administration of employee health insurance programs, 401(k), and related employee benefits in collaboration with outsourced vendors.
Prepare and perform bank deposits
Reconcile merchant accounts
Upload CR from Database into Accounting System
Financial Close and Reporting
Reconcile Balance Sheet Accounts
Perform Month End Accruals and Adjustments
Prepare draft monthly financial statements
Coordination and preparation of budget template (revise chart of accounts)
Preparation of draft budget
Audit preparation, facilitation and field work requests
