The Member Engagement Specialist (Bi-lingual) is responsible for building close relationships with members, customers and prospects, requiring a high level of interpersonal communication and exceptional communications skills. The person in this role must be able to deal with constituents and colleagues calmly and effectively, successfully multi-task, and be highly organized with a strong attention to detail. This individual must be fluent in Spanish and English, be results-oriented with a strong attention to detail, and ability meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Essential Job Functions
Enhance member engagement, recruitment, and retention efforts to meet organizational objectives.
Demonstrate strong customer service skills to coordinate service delivery, proactive identification and resolution of issues to promote positive experiences for members, customers and prospects.
Respond promptly and effectively to member, customer and prospect inquiries and requests for assistance with data submissions, profile updates, product offerings, and member benefit utilization.
Assist with implementing member engagement projects and initiatives, and the new member experience.
Provide member and customer engagement support at events or conferences.
Perform day-to-day department business processes, including determining membership eligibility, processing member applications, dues and orders and follow up with prospective members.
Contribute with regular member database audits and clean up exercises for monitoring data integrity.
Facilitate departmental process changes as necessary.
Bachelor’s degree is preferred, with a minimum of 3 years’ work experience in membership or client services. Association experience preferred.
Must be fluent in Spanish and English.
High level proficiency in Microsoft Office — Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; familiarity with iMIS membership database software a plus.
