340B Health has an immediate opening for a Senior Manager, Knowledge Management at our growing non-profit hospital and pharmacy-related trade association. This is a newly-created position reporting to the Vice President, Legal and Policy Counsel and the Vice President of Programs and Strategy. The position will be instrumental in propelling the organization’s twin areas of focus: advocacy to protect 340B and member education around the day-to-day implementation of 340B in member hospitals and health systems (including operations and compliance matters). The Senior Manager will have the opportunity to significantly shape the organization’s member education strategy.
As the Senior Manager, Knowledge Management, the individual will play a substantive key role in designing and delivering two national conferences per year plus webinars, regional roundtables, workshops and other speaking events. Programming content includes topics relevant to 340B Health’s cornerstone Institutional Membership program for hospitals, as well as professional development-focused content for the new Individual Membership program. The Manager will work closely with the legal, policy, advocacy, pharmacy, and membership staff to develop compelling new content and repurpose current content for a variety of applications, including events, our website (including operations and implementation resources), and other communication channels such as social media. The Manager will also provide substantial research, writing and analytical support to legal, policy, advocacy, and pharmacy projects.
Although professional experience in pharmacy is not required, strong preference will be given to candidates with this background.
Develop the conference agenda and programming for two annual national conferences, which attract upwards of 1400 attendees, including hospitals, community health centers, 340B vendors and other stakeholders.
Solicit, review, select, and help speakers finalize their presentations.
Develop or update presentations for non-conference events (e.g. webinars, regional roundtables, training, workshops, etc.).
Research, analyze, and write about 340B-related issues and develop new content in the areas of 340B operations, compliance, policy, and advocacy that can be incorporated into our suite of educational offerings.
Develop and cultivate a pipeline of speakers and faculty.
Identify new, creative and effective ways to distribute our content to members and other stakeholders.
Repurpose current content for other use in events, training, our website, and other communication channels such as social media.
Conduct needs assessments to identify gaps and potential new programming.
Actively explore and identify educational learning trends, learning technology and other resources for adoption at 340B Health.
Manage some administrative activities related to educational programs, including agendas, planning calls and timelines.
Coordinate with other staff on continuing education (CE) credit matters to ensure compliance with CE requirements.
Required experience and qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or above
3-5 years of professional experience
Exceptional research, writing and analytical skills
Proven project management skills, especially in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments requiring multitasking
Excellent collaboration skills; ability to work effectively with internal teams as well as external partners
Strong customer service orientation
Adept in Microsoft Office suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook

Pharmacy (e.g. technician or in some other position with exposure to pharmacy)

Limited travel required but must help staff our annual national conference in California. The Manager may also be asked to travel to several regional roundtables and certain industry conferences.
