Reporting to the Manager of Marketing, the Marketing Specialist provides marketing solutions to improve member engagement, increase revenue, and grow Society brand awareness. This position works across all channels, both traditional and digital marketing strategies, including direct mail, email, web, and social media. Responsible for assisting in the implementation and ongoing support of marketing activities including, but not limited to the annual meeting, CEU, publications, broadcast email, and general Society activities, including our premier journals, Clinical Practice Guidelines, self-assessment products, and future enhancements to our content portfolio. This position will also focus on the marketing and promotion of Endocrine Society awards.
What you’ll bring to the job:
BA/BS, preferably in marketing, communications, or related field.
Minimum of 2-3 years’ work experience, preferably in medical association/not-for-profit organization.
Experience managing integrated marketing campaigns, inclusive of social media, and content marketing.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability communicating effectively across multiple mediums and digital platforms.
Proactiveness and self-motivation, with the ability to problem-solve and a comfort level for exploring new technologies and strategies to improve the customer/member experience and increase opportunities for online discussions and the sharing of information.
Proven ability to keep abreast of industry trends to ensure messaging is relevant and differentiated.
Flexibility when working with others, while maintaining a sense of urgency toward meeting deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Proficiency (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel) required.

What you’ll own:
Developing tactical marketing plans for Clinical Practice Guidelines, Scientific Statements, self-assessment and other clinical content.
Collaborating with the Publication, Education and Awards teams to:
Identify and suggest new free content resources to use for lead generation based on Society priorities and customer need (webinars, podcasts, toolkits, eBooks).
Serve as a team player in the creation of free content for lead generation and nurturing (such as author tool kits for using social media, webinars on Clinical Guidelines).
Implementation of tactics – email automation, social media, video, google analytics, and other platform analytic tools, landing pages with offers and lead capture.
Maintaining digital content and editorial on endocrine.org, endocrine.org/store and OUP properties.
Writing marketing copy, headlines, and descriptive text for web, social media content, email copy, and video scripts; identifying best practices in marketing content copy.
Creating annual direct marketing production schedule, tied to content and editorial calendar
Ensuring campaign implementation is delivered on time. Reviewing quarterly and updating as needed.
Collaborating with the Marketing team to ensure appropriate timing and placement of portfolio of work in relation to other Society initiatives and strategies, identifying cross promotional opportunities.
Playing a key role in planning offers, developing calls to action, identifying new strategies and opportunities, reviewing campaign results, testing, and adjusting marketing plans according to results.
Assisting with the development and implementation of email marketing campaigns; disseminating regular e-newsletters.
Demonstrating a thorough understanding of target audiences and segmentation.
Creating shareable content appropriate for specific networks to spread our brand, our content, and links.
Maintaining analytics, metrics and campaign reporting related to direct mail and advertising activities.
Supporting the registration promotion for Annual Meeting, ENDO, and CEU including:
Ensuring content is appropriately used in all messaging for each unique initiative.
Executing on the strategy for increased registration and retention.
Assisting with the implementation of strategy for ENDO Booth marketing, including:
Identifying signage opportunities and work with various vendors to develop on-site signage for areas (not including the ENDO booth).
Assist with the packing of all marketing-related items for the meeting.
Assisting internal teams to develop coupon book for registration bags.
Supporting Marketing leadership as requested to meet deadlines and fulfill responsibilities as an active member of the team.
