The Manager, Careers in Construction will provide support in managing the NAHB Student Chapter Program and serve as the lead on day-to-day matters, including serving as the primary contact for students with inquiries about the program. Responsibilities include membership recruitment, member and records processing, and database management. The manager will also maintain regular communication with customers directly and also through social media, nahb.org, and e-newsletters. The manager will also provide event and project planning support and assist in the development of careers in construction resources.
Qualified candidates must have strong communication skills with familiarity with social media and other electronic communications. The ideal candidate will also have excellent program management skills, with the ability to handle large scale projects and also have great attention to detail. He/ she will also have the ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with students, colleagues and other industry professionals.
A minimum of one to two years of related experience is required. Knowledge of the building industry and and/or experience with trade/technical schools are a plus. A bachelor’s degree, or the equivalent in education and experience, is required.
