Position Summary: Coordinates and administers research study activities for the National Board for Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists. Assists in project planning, and ensures that pre-established work scope, study protocol, and regulatory requirements are followed. Recruits and coordinates research subject participation, coordinates CPC exam schedule with vendor, and manages all aspects of research study on a day to day basis. Develops and maintains recordkeeping systems and procedures.
Summary of Research: The objective of this project is to compare differences participants’ score on CPC exam performance under different testing modalities (6 different, randomized groups), including test duration, and self-reported differences in test anxiety, perceived test difficulty and fidelity of exam, to help determine the best testing modality for certification.

Plans and coordinates the initiation of research study protocol, and the establishment of operating policies and procedures.
Recruits, instructs, and coordinates research subjects as appropriate to randomized testing modalities.
Ensures the smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of research and data collection activities; acts as the primary administrative point of contact for participants that have research questions, principle operational liaison for Mid-Western Institutional Review Board.
Coordinates the day-to-day activities of any associate investigators specifically engaged in the carrying out of research/clinical protocol, as appropriate to the position; may perform aspects of research protocol, as required, in accordance with specified program objectives.
Attends advisory board and steering committee meetings.
Implements quality control processes throughout the conduct of the project to ensure protocol is running appropriately.
Monitors the progress of research activities; develops and maintains records of research activities, and prepares periodic and ad hoc reports, as required by investigators, administrators, funding agencies, and/or regulatory bodies.

Familiarity with online data collection and distance recruitment.
Minimum two-four years’ experience in human subjects research coordination; project management experience a plus.
Extensive knowledge of the Common Rule (45 CFR 46) and research management.

Computer Competency including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Proficient in SharePoint and Google docs
