The American College of Radiology (ACR) is a forward-thinking professional medical society, representing nearly 40,000 radiologists, radiation oncologists and medical physicists. Currently ACR is looking to hire a Senior Manager, Public Relations and Social Media to join our Marketing Department.
Senior Manager will be working on the following:
Manage media outreach
Serve as primary media contact and spokesperson to lay and trade press
Initiate research and write outreach materials, Op-eds, letters to editors, fact sheets
Guide media with accurate facts on relevant issues, assign interviews, prepare physician subject matter experts and follow up with reporters
Collaborate with product managers to create and execute media plans for all products and services
Manage Social Media
Develop social media plans, content and schedules for multiple accounts including Facebook Facebook Live events, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube channel
Collaborate with allied patient and other advocacy groups to provide social media content and guidance in support of mutual goals
Track social media stats and generate reports for clients/stakeholders
Support frontline management of healthcare issues
High visibility and frequent contact with physician leadership
Collaborate with public policy team to stay informed on key legislative and regulatory actions
Lead issue-oriented campaigns such as the annual breast cancer screening awareness
Staff a member committee
Manage Video Creation
On an as needed basis, develop creative approaches, build consensus on timelines and scripts
Supervise video production and editing. Direct staff to ensure video library is kept current and accessible
Qualified candidates will have:
- 5+ years of experience in Public Relations (PR);
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations or related discipline;
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills;
- Excellent grammar and punctuation skills;
- Familiarity with AP style, MS Office proficiency and strong project management skills.
