This position serves as an Assistant to the Communication Director and reports directly to theCommunication Director. (Non- Exempt Employee).
General duties include but are not limited to:
Graphic Design (with use Adobe Creative Suite)
Creates flyer and templates for various departments
Design banners for use on TennesseeRealtors.com
Design print and Web advertisements for Tennessee Realtors events
Design brochures and informational publications for members.
Assist Communication Director in ensuring consistency of brand standards across all platforms.
Maintain/update as necessary the Graphic Standards Manual/Style Guide.
Maintain/update as necessary design templates for letterhead, business cards, etc.
Develop ideas/concepts for video production projects, write scripts, schedule and tape shots.
Edit videos with video production software for placement on Tennessee REALTOR® website, YouTube Channel/Vimeo, Social Media and other communication vehicles.
Maintain Tennessee REALTORS® Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn and other social media platforms.
Monitor community usage to ensure congruency with REALTOR® brand and Tennessee REALTORS® messaging
Uploading information to social media sites, including photos, relevant links, and news to procure engagement.
Create social media handbook for company and social media resource guide for membership.
Remain up-to-date on social media advancements and resources of interest to REALTOR® Membership.
Attendance at meetings assigned by the Communication Director.
Administrative duties including agendas, minutes, meeting reminders, correspondence with committee members and leadership, maintenance of member attendance rosters and membership rosters, meeting set up, handouts, etc.
Assist in research for communications projects.
Assist in special projects such as special event planning and logistics if necessary.
“Digest” and any future publications– Utilize content management system (HTML) to develop content for weekly e-newsletters. Determine content placement, design web graphics, banners, and ads for placement on publication. Content delivery every Monday.
Articles for other publications as necessary.
Photography of Events and Programs/ Photo Editing (with use of Adobe Creative Suite) for Print and Web.
Assist with monthly release of market statistics – including compilation of data, development of press release, and coordination of media inquiries. May also require preparation of data for presentations. Solicits assistance from Member Services when necessary.
Write, edit, and proofread of documents for print and for Web, including but not limited to press releases, articles, and news stories; may also include blogs, columns and news stories as necessary.
Media Requests – Assist with handling media inquiries as deemed necessary, including updating statewide media contacts, coordinating press interviews with board officials, fielding press and member requests.
Creation of desk manual for position.
Assistance with special Tennessee REALTOR® events and projects as deemed necessary.
Provides support to the Communications Director or others as assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Communications Director or by the CEO.
Degree or equivalent education/experience in graphic design, social media or related communications concentration.
An eye for storytelling that engages our members and the public.
Strong project management, time management and organizational skills.
Exceptional interpersonal and written communications skills.
Capable of working independently as well as in a team environment.
Microsoft Office Suite (including Word and Excel).
Adobe Creative Suite (especially Illustrator, InDesign and PhotoShop).
Preferred Skills / Accreditations:
REALTOR® Association Experience
5 Years Related Experience
Photography experience (shooting/editing).
Expertise in multiple social-media platforms.
Video experience (shooting/editing, pref. via Adobe Premiere Pro).
HTML content-management system (CMS) experience.
WordPress web-platform experience
Graphic design portfolio.
