Responsible for planning, development, implementation and evaluation of a comprehensive international membership program which includes marketing, communications and constituent relations components that will increase the quality and quantity of members and enhance the image and brand of Shriners International within the masonic community and with the general public.
Membership acquisition and retention strategies
Oversees development and implementation of membership support functions for the headquarters of Shriners International, temples, associations, clubs and members throughout the world.
Directs the efforts of the staff of the Office of Membership Development and coordinates at the strategic and tactical levels with the other functions of Shriners International and Shriners Hospitals for Children.
Resource for other departments and/or projects to provide assistance to projects and initiatives directed by other departments.

Three years of related experience demonstrating a successful and progressively expanding scope of work responsibilities specifically including
Strategic membership development planning,
project management, personnel management
support of projects or tasks directed or controlled by others
Successfully working collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Basic knowledge and understanding of the principles of working with volunteers.
Work experience in a membership non-profit membership organization is preferred.
Valid passport for international travel
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience or work experience in a business related field is preferred.
Strong written and verbal skills in the English language
Additional language abilities, particularly in Spanish, is preferred but is not required.
A Membership Management Certificate from the American Society of Association Executives is preferred, but is not required.
