As NIGP's Junior Instructional Designer, you will have responsibilities surrounding the curriculum design, maintenance and updating of all content that is provided to learners during various educational offerings. You will be expected to work alongside the Senior Level Instructional Designer and grasp the concepts, policies and procedures to create and enhance NIGP education products.
Your Key Responsibilities are:
Webinar Facilitation – In collaboration, research, select and develop topics as well as presenters for NIGP webinars. Act as live event host for webinars. Analyze content and make recommendations and changes to enhance the learning experience.
Instructional Design – Assist Senior Designer with content creation, maintenance and revamping current education products. Maintain and enhance existing courses.
Collaborate with marketing and communications for event notifications
Your Ideal Skills and Abilities:
Experience with Learning Management Systems and Association Management (Customer Relations Management) Systems; preferably netFORUM or similar system
Experience with eLearning authoring technology, preferably Articulate 360
Experience with web meeting and seminar platforms, specifically Adobe Connect
Experience with moderating or facilitating live learning events
Experience guiding and developing instructors and students through online situations
Ability to be flexible and troubleshoot live-event problems
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and deliver quality results in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
Detail and process oriented
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including telephone and customer service skills
Ability to work collaboratively
Outstanding presentation/speaking and learner support skills
Your Minimum Qualifications are:
Bachelor’s Degree in business or a related field of study; significant relevant experience may be substituted for a degree
Webinar hosting experience, preferably with Adobe Connect
1 year of related experience with Web-enabled technologies as related to webinars and online courses
Work experience within a non-profit association preferred
