CoreNet Global is currently seeking a Web Developer to add to our marketing team. The Web Developer will serve as the association’s lead resource for web technology and must be a strong programmer/analyst with a vision for successful user experience and interface of website design. This person plays a critical role in the execution of the external website strategy, maintenance and evolution of the association’s web resources. This position reports to CoreNet Global’s VP of Marketing and will partner with leadership in developing and executing various association programs that inspire and engage our members.
The Web Developer should have the skills and creativity to oversee and conduct website-building and theming for desktop and mobile experiences. In addition to owning the association’s core site, the Web Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining websites for the associations related communities and programs and assisting with digital marketing initiatives including email, online and social media marketing. The ideal candidate will lead the organization in the use of emergent online and mobile technologies that best tell the story of the association.
Update and maintain website with relevant content, including design layout and coordination, as driven by the business and functional groups.
Act as primary administrator of our content management system (CMS), and other related systems.
Develop strong understanding of the main IT systems, including the Aptify association management system (AMS) and various web components supplied by Higher Logic and the integration of AMS data within the website. Collaborate with IT team and vendors as required to ensure effective integration and suggest any improvements that might improve the member and user experience.
In consultation with VP of Marketing and external marketing vendors, orchestrate and execute online marketing strategies
Provide input on usability, design, and content of the company website.
Maintain codebases that are optimized for SEO and standards compliant.
Partner with internal and external content providers, editors, designers and developers to ensure site meets with company and customer needs and aligns with our brand strategy and Web standards.
Consult closely with department colleagues to ensure that email, marketing initiatives, and other website-related strategies are properly planned and implemented.
Create HTML e-mails, landing and splash pages to further marketing efforts;
Provide input and ideas for improvements to website and intranet site.
Implement Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM) programs, monitor rankings and calculate ROI.
Monitor website content for out-of-date postings; manage site feedback.
Provide usage reporting to internal stakeholder with suggested actions to increase value to members and customers
Monitor status of website projects and report usage trends;
Provide support on chapter microsites.
Own and evaluate web content, web strategy, UX, usability, content management systems (CMS), web analytics, web development, search engine optimization (SEO), troubleshooting and responsive/mobile site development
Consistently ensure that all materials for association initiatives and content referenced in print or digital media are located on the website
Facilitate back-end site updates; procure and manage domain names; and develop online member services
Be responsible for increasing organic search traffic, conversion and revenue by analyzing data and implementing changes that ensure CoreNet Global is optimized for visibility on search engines
Collaborate with technology department on website servers and security
Continuously improve look and feel of association’s web presence in direct partnership with the art director
Develop, analyze and report KPIs to gauge site performance, and provide continual optimization strategies, insights or other recommendations to improve website usability
Develop methods for integrating different products and database-driven web-based applications (event registration surveys, searches and dynamic displays)
Prepare web forms and surveys for data collection
Train staff on website updates and maintenance, ensure consistency and compliance
Maintain real-time awareness of all ongoing association activities and initiatives, and be proactively responsible for featuring them on the website as appropriate
Assist with maintenance of our Membership and Events apps
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field
3-5 years of web dev experience, extensive hands-on working knowledge of AMS (Aptify preferred) and CMS systems, e-commerce models, web standards
Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign and Dreamweaver, and MS Office2010
Strong working knowledge of Google Analytics
Knowledge of Google Publisher preferred
Familiarity with writing SQL queries using MS SQL server or MySQL
Proven experience in responsive design and A/B testing
Experience/Familiarity with Single Sign On concepts and ASP.NET Identity server
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and respond to shifting priorities
Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and techniques that support evolving needs
Ability to confidently present work and respond to constructive feedback
Proven ability to track results & utilize data to improve performance
Keen understanding of Web content development, digital publishing, broadcast e-mail, online community and social media best practices, technologies, and tools.
Working knowledge and comprehensive understanding of responsive web design is required
A proven track record in employing the Internet, Web and social media to support and accelerate major marketing objectives
Ability to interface with all levels of the organization and actively participate in team-oriented activities with a broad range of deliverables
Project management and oversight
Experience with a membership association or nonprofit business environment a plus
Strong relationship building/management and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage many projects, simultaneously
Strong communication skills, both oral and written
