Primary responsibilities include providing day to day support to BPS including, review and approval of certification applications fulfilling requests for information, assist with the production and distribution of correspondence, assisting in the maintenance of computer and paper files, and working cooperatively with other staff as needed.
Serve as Registrar for the Board of Pharmacy Specialties
Review and approve BPS certification exam applications for initial and retake during the spring and fall testing cycles in all specialties.
Ensure accuracy of records in BPS database system for all candidates and certified pharmacists. Assisting in maintenance and monitoring data integrity and consistency to ensure that data is “clean”, duplications are eliminated, addresses are valid, zip codes are correct, email addresses are legal and data adheres to standards.
Review and manage educational documentation for international applicants
Conduct outreach to Employers for verification of employee practice experience for each testing window
Process and respond, as appropriate to telephone calls, facsimile messages, written, and electronic inquiries about BPS, application procedures, etc.
Provide administrative services support to BPS
Assist in preparing the shipment of BPS certificates for initial certification and recertification including replacement certificates and pins for all U.S. and international certificants. Maintain tracking numbers on all shipments as well as assist in preparing the Federal Express and DHL labels.
Receive and distribute regular/priority mail and packages to staff.
Organize and maintain files for BPS related to assigned projects. Provide support to the BPS Senior Management Staff
Provide administrative support to the BPS Board of Directors and Specialty Councils
A college degree or equivalent experience is required.
A minimum of two years administrative or project management experience. Especially desirable is experience with quality management, accreditation and/or certification programs.
