The Member & Customer Relations Representative serves as one of the association’s front-line representatives to members, potential members, and customers who are working to protect worker health and safety. The Representative will assist in maintaining and extracting key information from the member/customer database, working with the team and other groups to retain and grow membership, as well as utilizing the database to process orders and payments for AIHA products and services. This position provides administrative and sales support for one of AIHA’s products, the Consultants’ Listing. In addition, the position is responsible for general administrative tasks.
It is envisioned that the Representative will grow in knowledge of database functionality through training and hands-on experience. In addition to potential for growth within the position, there is the potential to pursue a future career path in many areas of association management. Employees previously in this position have become managers in education delivery, database administrators, and administrative assistants.

Qualified candidates should have an Associate’s degree in business or related field and at least one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Other qualifications include advanced computer literacy (i.e., Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel); experience with or ability to learn databases; excellent communication skills; telephone skills; and interpersonal skills. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
