FIA, the leading global trade organization for the futures, options and centrally cleared derivatives markets, with offices in London, Singapore and Washington, D.C., is currently searching for a Database Manager, for our Washington, DC office.
Working in the Member Services Department, this individual will implement & utilize efficient procedures to organize, store and analyze data with attention to security and confidentiality. This individual should be able to fully grasp the complexity of data management and will have a strong understanding of databases and data analysis procedures. The candidate will be tech-savvy and poses excellent troubleshooting skills.
This position functions in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment with varied priorities and responsibilities. Previous database management experience is required. Candidate must be proficient with AMS platforms, Tableau, Microsoft Office (Excel is a plus) and possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Conference travel and some after-hours work may be required as dictated by the event schedule.
Be the primary knowledge expert and first tier support for FIA’s AMS system and vendor
Provide AMS training to FIA staff
Setup events and online event registration portal for FIA events. This may involve working with third party vendors and testing that registrations are working properly
Assists in processing and promoting event registrations, subscriptions, membership benefits and other industry related resources and products that we promote
Handle logistics for onsite Registration desk at conferences
Provide documentation on processes, workflows and training materials
Establish and document standard operating protocols (SOPs) and business processes for data maintenance and governance
Implement dashboard reporting for senior staff
Develop standardized ad-hoc reports for day to day operations
Primary staff liaison for data management and report writing for staff to access and run independently
Provide reporting and data analysis for event registration, membership retention, etc. using AMS reporting tools and BI tools such as Tableau
Checks database structural integrity of user and system tables by conducting quarterly audits
Make recommendations to the Director of Membership on improving member data processes
Minimum 2 years of experience working with an AMS (Association Management Software), i.e. Aptify, Association Anywhere, Impexium, etc.
