The National Fluid Power Association (NFPA) is a trade association with more than 340 member companies involved in the manufacture and distribution of hydraulic and pneumatic products and systems.
NFPA seeks a professional who can provide support to the President/CEO in the areas of Board operations, communications, finance, fundraising, human resources, and office management. Advanced communication and relationship building skills are required.
Responsibilities include: (1) Secure event spaces, confirm attendees, and coordinate logistics for Board meetings. (2) Write and disseminate minutes from Board meetings. (3) Plan and prepare CEO-level communications, including presentations and blog posts. (4) Develop regular communications on the financial health of the organization and the financial performance of key programs and services. (5) Manage communication and recognition activities associated with a program of fundraising campaigns. (6) Plan and organize staff team-building and appreciation events. (7) Serve as office manager, coordinating as needed with the landlord and vendors to ensure a pleasant and professional office environment. (8) Monitor and improve the use of office technology to better meet association objectives.
We’re looking for candidates with: (1) A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. (2) At least 3 years experience in a similar position for a similar organization. (3) Proven organizational skills. (4) The ability to exercise good judgment in complex situations. (5) Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Some travel is required.
